We continue to work together in Warmun and Frog Hollow to strengthen and enliven Gija in homes, schools and at work. Purnululu and Ngalangangpum Schools and Wanyanyakem Taam create learning opportunities from early childhood to the end of high school. Warmun Art Centre and Warmun Community Inc. play a crucial part in facilitating adult education and language documentation. The Gija Rangers are also active in using traditional language and knowledge in their land management programs. We couldn’t do all this without the support of our funders including Ground Up who have supported Gija language since 2009.
